Wish List (for volunteers who are
coming to San Andres)
If you can fit any of the following in your
backpack on the way down, we would truly appreciate it! |
- Instruments
for our school band
Any instument will do, and in any condition, as would any type
of accessory, drum sticks, shakers, cowbells, etc. We
would really love some more trumpets, a trombone, a saxophone, and
some clarinets.
- Books in Spanish for our library
Stop by Borders, Barns and Noble or any local bookstore and pick
up a couple books in Spanish for our community library. Check
the children's section of the bookstore for titles such as Escalosfrios,
and other children's books, and check out the literature section for
titles like Lord of the Rings, Stephen King, and others. Share
your favorite titles with our community if you can find them in
Spanish. We are in need of titles by
Latin American authors, that include Isabel Allende, Miguel
Asturias, Gabriel Marquez, etc, and anytype of Visual Enciclopedias
are needed as well.
- Materials
for our School of Natural Resources
Our school of natural resources needs your help. If you
are travelling to our project, please try to fit all the sprial
notebooks and pencils and pens that you can.
- English Teaching Guides and workbooks
Any type of TESL materiel would be
extremely useful for our project.
- Old
Tools
hammer, pliers, screwdrivers...anything that you
can fit in your luggage.
